Removing Control Box

Hot components
- Risk of burns
→ Let hot components cool down.
→ Wear personal protective gear.
- Remove clamp -3-
on connecting hose -2-
and pull off hose.
Information
- The ball socket is preset and must not be loosened.
- The control box is supplied as a complete spare part and includes the push rod, ball socket and decoupling plate as shown.
- The ball socket is preset and must not be loosened.
- Remove control box and holder.
- 2.1. Lift off ball socket -1- on the flap lever. Spray with anti-rust agent if necessary.
- 2.2. Before loosening the fastening screws, spray with anti-rust agent and heat them if necessary.
- 2.3. Carefully loosen and unscrew two M6 fastening screws -2- and remove the control box and holder.
- Unscrew three M5 lock nuts -2-
and pull the control box -1-
out of the holder.
- 3.1. Check the installation position of the ball socket with respect to the position of the ball joint on the exhaust flap.
