Installing Tailpipe Cover - Speedster/Classic

Observe specified dimensions for installation position with respect to rear apron.

If the engine mountings (hydraulic mounts) are to be replaced, the gap dimension to be set with respect to the upper rear apron is reduced by 1.5 mm because of the settling behavior of the mountings

Grease sliding bases and silencer supports lightly with Optimoly HT (Part No. 000.043.004.00).
Slide the tailpipe cover onto the flange on the rear silencer.

Align the tailpipe cover with respect to the rear apron following the specifications in the table below.

Tighten external Torx screw (M8) -1- on the clamp -2- . → Tightening torque: 30 Nm (22 ft. lb.)
