Removing Front Silencer

CAUTION:
Hot components
- Risk of burns
→ Let hot components cool down.
→ Wear personal protective gear.
Information
- Spray screw connections, clamps and sliding bases with anti-rust agent before loosening them.
- If screw connections and sliding bases are corroded badly, heat them before removal.
- Loosen clamp -1-
for exhaust manifold.
- 1.1. Unscrew M8 cheese head bolt and open the clamp.
- 1.2. Replace sealing ring.
- Pull off line -2-
at the control box -1-
for the exhaust flap.
- 2.1. Replace the clamp.
- Loosen threaded joint for rear silencer.
- 3.1. Unscrew five M8 lock nuts -1- .
- 3.2. Replace lock nuts.
- Unscrew three M8 hexagon nuts -1-
on the front silencer holder.
- 4.1. Replace lock nuts.
- Remove front silencer.
- 5.1. Pull adapter for front silencer -1- out of the rear silencer -3- .
- 5.2. Swivel front silencer out sideways and remove it.
- 5.3. Replace sealing rings -2- on connection piece for front silencer.
