Securing Front Silencer

Information

Apply a light coating of high-temperature grease (e.g. Optimoly HT, Part No. 000.043.004.00) on the clamp or pipe adapter before installation .

Align the front silencer -1- .
1. 1.1. Tighten cheese head bolts (hexagon socket a/f 6, M8 x 50) -3- on the retaining straps so that the silencer can still be moved.

2. 1.2. Position clamping sleeves and fit the two M8 hexagon nuts -2- . Pay attention to the installation position.

Tighten M8 threaded joint on clamping sleeves.
→ Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ft. lb.)
1. 2.1. Tighten M8 cheese head bolts for the retaining straps to the prescribed torque.
  → Tightening torque: 15 Nm (11 ft. lb.)
Check installation position of front silencer again.
