Installing Heat Shield - Upper Part Only

- Install upper part of heat shield on side 1-3.
- 1.1. Slide heat shield in past the rear silencer holder.
- 1.2. Position upper part of heat shield -1- , fit two outer Torx screws (M6 x 12) -2- and tighten to the specified torque.
- 1.3. Clip in blue oxygen sensor cable.
- Install upper part of heat shield on side 4-6.
- 2.1. Slide upper part of heat shield -1- past the rear silencer holder and fit loosely.
- 2.2. Connect ignition coil plug for cylinders 5 and 6.
- 2.3. Position upper part of heat shield -1-
, secure with two outer Torx screws (M6 x 12) -4-
and tighten screws to the specified torque.
Fit ground strap on cylinder head using an M8 Torx screw -2- and tighten it. Clip in blue oxygen sensor cable -3- .
→ Tightening torque: 23 Nm (17 ft. lb.)
- 2.4. Clip in oxygen sensor cable -2- .
