Removing Clutch Slave Cylinder
- Disconnect hydraulic line for clutch actuation (up to model year 2009 - screw apart/from model year 2010 onwards - release and pull apart using loosening tool 9780).
Collect emerging hydraulic fluid in a container. Close off open lines with suitable stoppers.
- 1.1. Up to model year 2009: Screw plug-in coupling for the clutch hydraulic system apart at the body (green lead). -arrow-

When loosening, turn at the threaded joint -A- and counter at the hexagon on the plug-in coupling -B- (using an open-ended wrench).
- 1.2. From model year 2010: Disconnect the hydraulic line (for clutch actuation) using the loosening tool 9780 (release -arrow- and then pull the lines apart).

- Remove the holder for the clutch slave cylinder (on transmission -arrow-
and disconnect the clutch slave cylinder).
Only loosen the clutch slave cylinder fastening screws (2 screws) -arrows- slightly (do not yet unscrew completely).
- Disconnect (unscrew) line -1-
on clutch slave cylinder.
Pull off return line -2- . To do this, press evenly on the red ring (never on one side) -2a- and pull the line -2- out evenly while pressing (releasing) it. Use disassembly tool Nr.21 to release the line.
- Up to model year 2009: Screw off the pressure line -3-
at the clutch slave cylinder. Due to the restricted space, it is a good idea to use an open socket wrench and adapter Open-end/ring wrench insert Nr.98-1 Pos.1
.
From model year 2010 onwards, the line -3- is disconnected at the connection point for the line (see description for next step).
- From model year 2010 onwards: Disconnect the pressure line -3- at the connection point -arrow- . This procedure depends on how much space is available in the area.
- Loosen fastening screws on clutch slave cylinder (two screws). Carefully remove clutch slave cylinder.
