4. Checking Pressure Retaining Valve In Upper Part Of Reservoir
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 9 other vehicles, including the 2013 Porsche 911, 2012 Porsche 911, 2011 Porsche 911, 2010 Porsche 911, and 2009 Porsche 911. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
This pressure retaining valve (in upper part of reservoir) can only be checked indirectly.
A fault exists if the clutch boost function does not last for an entire 24 hours, but the pressure retaining valve in the clutch slave cylinder (Test 3) and the pressure control valve in the upper part of the reservoir (Test 2) are functioning correctly.
If the pressure retaining valve in the clutch slave cylinder is functioning correctly (Test 3), replace the reservoir.
