Disassembling Frame For Roll-Over Protection System

  1. Frame for roll-over protection system
  2. Securing bracket for convertible-top compartment trim
  3. Adapter for rear cover linkage
  4. Roll-over bar module
  5. DME control unit
  6. Holder for convertible-top compartment lid drive mechanism
  7. Microswitch for convertible-top compartment lid drive mechanism
  8. Cable for convertible-top compartment lid locking hook
  9. Convertible-top compartment lid drive gear
  10. Motor for convertible-top compartment lid drive mechanism
  11. Relay carriers
  12. Convertible top control unit
  1. Remove adapter for rear cover linkage.

    1. 1.1. Pull form felt -1-  out of the trim surround -2-  (-arrow-  ) and dispose of it.
    2. 1.2. Unscrew fastening screws -3-  and pull the adapter -4-  up and off.
  2. Remove the holder stop for convertible top compartment.

    1. 2.1. Pull the holder stop -1-  out of the adapter -2-  (-arrow-  ).

      The holder stop can be removed when both the adapter and the roll-over bar cover are installed.

  3. Remove the fastening angle for convertible-top compartment trim.

    1. 3.1. Unscrew fastening screws -1-  and remove the bracket -2-  from the trim -3-  .
  4. Remove holder for control unit.

    1. 4.1. Unscrew fastening screws -1-  and remove the holder -2-  from the trim -3-  .
  5. Remove holder for top box cover drive.

    1. 5.1. Unscrew fastening screws -1-  and remove the holder -2-  from the trim -3-  .
