Removing Coolant Temperature Sensor

  1. Remove crankcase vent line at the oil-filter housing.
    1. 1.1. Unscrew external Torx screw (E10, M6 x 20) -1-  for the crankcase vent line on the oil-filter housing.
    2. 1.2. Release crankcase vent line -2-  and pull it off the engine ventilation cover on the cylinder head.
    3. 1.3. Pull crankcase vent line -3-  out of the oil-filter housing and lay it aside.
    4. 1.4. Check O-rings and replace them if necessary.

  2. Remove coolant temperature sensor.
    1. 2.1. Disconnect cable plug -4-  .
    2. 2.2. Loosen and unscrew coolant temperature sensor -5-  using the crow-foot wrench Nr.189-1  .
