Removing Coolant Regulator

- Collect emerging coolant in a suitable pan.
Information
Specifications for wrench sizes (a/f specifications) for screw heads are described as follows:
- Torx screws: (E..) for external Torx, (T..) for internal Torx.
- Hexagon-head bolts (internal and external hexagon): Wrench size (a/f)
WARNING:
Caustic fluids
- Danger of chemical burns
→ Avoid contact with caustic fluid.
→ Wear personal protective gear.
→ Ensure that there is good ventilation.
→ If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.
- Disconnect coolant hoses -1-
from the coolant regulator housing.
- 1.1. Loosen screw-type clamps -2- .
- 1.2. Remove spring clamp -3- from the Henn coupling and pull off coolant hose.
- Remove cover on coolant regulator housing -1-

- 2.1. Unscrew three hexagon socket head bolts (M6 x 35, a/f 5) -2- on the housing cover.
- 2.2. Pull housing cover out of the coolant hoses.
- 2.3. Remove housing cover with coolant regulator.
Be careful with the coolant regulator!
- Remove coolant regulator -1- from the housing cover.
- Replace O-ring -1- in the housing cover.
