Installing Reservoir For Coolant

Caustic fluids
- Danger of chemical burns
→ Avoid contact with caustic fluid.
→ Wear personal protective gear.
→ Ensure that there is good ventilation.
→ If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.
- Install coolant reservoir.
- 1.1. Guide reservoir into the engine compartment and slide it into the holders.
- 1.2. Screw in and tighten the collar nut.
→ Tightening torque: 10 Nm (7.5 ft. lb.)
- Install engine coolant level sensor -2-
.
Insert the sensor -2- into the reservoir and connect the cable plug.
Information
To facilitate assembly of coolant pipes and hoses, smear with Kluberplus S06-100 assembly gel.
- Install coolant hoses.
- 3.1. Check the O-ring on the large coolant hose -2- for damage and replace it if necessary. Fit spring clamps on the mounts.
- 3.2. Press the coolant hose -2- firmly into the mounts. The coolant hose must lock with an audible click in both connection pieces. Pull to check that the connection is secure.
- 3.3. Install supply hose -3- . Attach the hose and tighten the spring band clamp.
- Fit coolant hoses at the coolant reservoir -1-
.
- 4.1. Connect the supply hose from the radiator -2- to the coolant reservoir and clip it in at the holder.
- 4.2. Connect the overflow hose -3- to the coolant reservoir.
