Installing Oil Pan (Upper Part)

- Fit and position upper part of oil pan.
- 1.1. Check that the molded seal is seated correctly.
- 1.2. Screw in and tighten 21 inner Torx screws (T30) M6 x 25.
- 1.3. Tighten screws according to tightening specifications. Screws 1-4 must be re-tightened.
→ Tightening torque: 13 Nm (9.5 ft. lb.)
- Install oil pressure control valve.
→ 172619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OIL PRESSURE CONTROL VALVE .
- 2.1. Tighten cap screw (M36 x 1.0 x 12) using special tool socket-wrench insert 9753

→ Tightening torque: 40 Nm (30 ft. lb.)
- 2.1. Tighten cap screw (M36 x 1.0 x 12) using special tool socket-wrench insert 9753

- Install suction tube and oil deflector (watertight sheetmetal panel).
- 3.1. Fit oil deflector with new O-rings and secure in place with an external Torx screw (E10) M6 x 20.
- 3.2. Fit suction tube with a new O-ring on the oil pump and secure with an internal Torx screw (T30) M6 x 25.
→ Tightening torque: 13 Nm (9.5 ft. lb.)
- Install air/oil separator.
- 4.1. Fit line with a new O-ring in vertical position into the oil pump and then turn it towards the upper part of the oil pan until the separator is positioned (horizontally) at the screw points.
- 4.2. Fit and tighten five outer Torx screws (E10) M6 x 20. Also tighten one outer Torx screw for the oil deflector.
→ Tightening torque: 13 Nm (9.5 ft. lb.)
- Fit oil pressure pipe.
- 5.1. Place new O-ring on the oil pump. Attach pressure pipe with new O-ring to the crankcase and fit it on the oil pump.
- 5.2. Fit and tighten three external Torx screws (E10) M6 x 16.
→ Tightening torque: 13 Nm (9.5 ft. lb.)
