Removing Rear Cover

- Pull off seal on convertible-top compartment lid support -1- (-arrows- ).
- Unclip the cover -1- forward out of the side trim panel -2- (-arrow A- ).
- Guide the cover -1- out of the seat belt -3- (-arrow B- ).
- Remove rear cover at the center.
- 4.1. Unscrew fastening screw -1- .
- 4.2. Heat the marked area of the rear cover at the center -2- and the rear cover at the sides -3- slightly using the hot-air blower -3- (-arrows- ).
- 4.3. Lift the rear cover at the center -1- up evenly, swivel it forward -arrow A- and disengage it -arrow B- .
- Unscrew fastening screws -1, 2- , remove the rear cover at the sides -3- (-arrow A- ) and guide out the seat belt -4- at the same time -arrow B- .
- Remove adhesive residue.
- 6.1. Remove adhesive residue -A, B- from the rear cover at the center -1- and the rear cover at the sides -3- using an erasing disc -2- .
- 6.2. Clean bonding surfaces with isopropyl.
