Installing Tension Rope

  1. Place eye on the tension rope and measure the total length.
    1. 1.1. Push the eye fully onto the end of the tension rope.
    2. 1.2. Measure the total length of the tension rope from center of eye to center of eye with a tape measure -dimension X = 845 mm-  .

  2. Fit tension rope to the shaped sheetmetal part.
    1. 2.1. Pull the tension rope -2-  into the piping -4-  .
    2. 2.2. Fit shrink-fit hose -1-  (large diameter) over the tension rope -2-  .
    3. 2.3. Engage tension rope -2-  in the tension spring -3-  at the shaped sheetmetal part.
    4. 2.4. Pull shrink-fit hose -1-  (large diameter) over the tension spring. Shrink the shrink-fit hose to the diameter of the tension spring by heating it with a hot-air gun.

  3. Slide shrink-fit hose (small diameter) onto the tension rope.
  4. Crimp eye with the tension rope
    1. 4.1. Attach eye B  to the tension rope A  and crimp twice using the crimping tool 9762  . The second crimp must be applied at an offset of 90°.
  5. Shrink the shrink-fit hose to the diameter of the eye by heating it with a hot-air gun.
