Installing Lithium-Ion Battery

- Insert the battery and push it in as far as it will go.
- Screw in fastening screw and tighten to a tightening torque of Tightening torque +23 Nm (+17 ftlb.)
using a commercially available torque wrench.
Leave the vent hose in the vehicle in case you revert to using the lead battery at a later date.
- First connect the positive cable, then the negative cable. Tighten battery terminal clamps to a tightening torque of Tightening torque +4 Nm (+3 ftlb.) .
