Removing Engine - Compartment Blower
Installation position of engine-compartment blower:
WARNING:
Moving components
- Danger of limbs being trapped or severed
→ Do not reach into the danger area.
→ Secure the system to prevent it from being activated accidentally.
→ Keep third parties away from the danger area.
- Open the rear lid.
- If fitted: Extend the rear spoiler manually using the switch in the passenger compartment.
Information
- Temperature changes can cause the engine-compartment blower to start up at any time (protection against overheating).
- Given this, always disconnect the plug connection for the rear spoiler before removal.
- Unclip cover -1-
in the engine compartment at the right and disconnect plug connection for rear spoiler, engine cover and engine-compartment blower.
- 3.1. Lift engine-compartment blower bracket up at the rear -2- and pull it out slightly at the front -3- .
- 3.2. Unclip cover -4- .
- First unclip the engine-compartment blower at the rear -arrows A- , pull it back and then bend it upwards -arrows B- .
- Release plug connections on the fan motors -arrows a- and pull them off -arrows A- .
- Remove the fan unit.
