Installing Engine - Compartment Blower

  1. Remove fan motors.
    1. 1.1. Pull fans -1-  at the left and right off the cover -2-  (-arrows-  ).
    2. 1.2. Check the rubber mountings -3-  on the fan.

      Rubber mountings remain on the fan.

  2. Check rubber mountings with seal -arrows-  on the body for damage and replace them if necessary.

  3. Position the right fan motor on the body and plug in the cable plug -arrow-  . Check that it is seated securely.

    Information 

    Make sure that the rubber mountings are not crushed or damaged during installation.

  4. Press front pins into the rubber mountings -arrows A-  and rear pins into the rear spoiler bracket or lower part of lid lock -arrow B-  .

  5. Installation on the left-hand side is performed in the same way as on the right-hand side.
  6. Align the cover of the fan motors with the air guide and fit it -arrows-  .

  7. Connect plug connection for the rear spoiler and fit cover at the right-hand side of the engine compartment.
  8. If fitted: Retract the rear spoiler manually.
  9. Close the lid.
