Preliminary Work

→ Do not place any solid objects under the raised vehicle.

→ Ensure that the lifting platform is prevented from lowering.

→ Remove solid objects before lowering the vehicle.

→ Raise the vehicle only at the jacking points provided.

→ The outer jacking points should be used primarily.

→ Let the fluid cool down.

→ Wear personal protective gear.

Information 

• To remove the distributor housing, the unit carriers do not have to be removed - they just need to be loosened and lifted up off the distributor housing. 

1. Put protective covers on vehicle.
2. Remove air cleaner housing.

   → 242519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING AIR CLEANER HOUSING .

3. Remove resonance tube.

   → 247419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING RESONANCE TUBE .

4. Relieve the drive belt.

   → 137819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING DRIVE BELT .

5. Loosen and lift up air-conditioning compressor.

   → 873419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING AIR-CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR .

6. Vehicles with Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC):  Disconnect hydraulic pump.

   → 430619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING PUMP (PDCC) .

7. Vehicles without Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC):  Loosen console with deflection roller.

   → 137719 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CONSOLE WITH DEFLECTION ROLLER .

8. Loosen the generator.

   → 272219 REMOVING AND INSTALLING GENERATOR .

9. Drain coolant from the engine.

   → 193817 DRAINING AND FILLING COOLANT .

10. Remove front silencer.

    → 262519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT SILENCER .

11. Remove special screw at the top left of the engine carrier. Loosen hexagon nut at the bottom left.

    → 103019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINE CARRIER .
