Removing Coolant Regulator

WARNING: Hot fluid
  • Danger of scalding

→ Let the fluid cool down.

→ Wear personal protective gear.

  1. Pull off coolant hose -1-  at the left-hand side of the engine compartment.
    1. 1.1. Remove spring clamp -2-  and pull coolant hose out of the coolant regulator housing.
    2. 1.2. Re-fit spring clamp.
    3. 1.3. Check O-ring on the coolant hose and replace it if necessary.

  2. Unscrew fastening screws -3-  and remove housing -1-  .

    Remaining coolant can continue to drip out.

  3. Remove coolant regulator -1-  .
    1. 3.1. Replace seals -2-  .
