Installation Coolant Regulator Housing
WARNING:
Caustic fluids
- Danger of chemical burns
→ Avoid contact with caustic fluid.
→ Wear personal protective gear.
→ Ensure that there is good ventilation.
→ If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.
Information
Grease O-rings, hoses and lines in the cooling system with Kluberplus Gel (Part No. 000.043.205.93).
- Grease all new O-rings and the molded seal with a light coating of the prescribed lubricant.
- Position coolant regulator housing and slide in the front coolant pipe -2-
.
Be careful with the molded seal -5- on the coolant pipe!
- 2.1. Fit coolant pipe -1- at the side.
- Secure coolant pipe at the side -1-
and housing.
- 3.1. Fit and tighten screws (M6 x 16 -2-
and M6 x 50 -3-
).
→ Tightening torque: 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)
- 3.1. Fit and tighten screws (M6 x 16 -2-
and M6 x 50 -3-
).
- Secure coolant pipe -1-
to the heat protection panel on the high-pressure pump.
- 4.1. Fit and tighten screw -2-
.
→ Tightening torque: 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)
- 4.1. Fit and tighten screw -2-
.
- Secure coolant pipe to the coolant pump and holder.
- 5.1. Fit and tighten four screws -1 + 2-
.
→ Tightening torque: 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)
- 5.1. Fit and tighten four screws -1 + 2-
.
- Fit coolant pipe -1-
for the thermal management bypass valve with new O-rings.
- 6.1. Fit coolant pipe on the coolant regulator housing.
- 6.2. Fit coolant hose -4- and close the spring band clamp -3- .
- 6.3. Fit and tighten screw -2-
.
→ Tightening torque: 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)
- Fit coolant hose -1-
in the engine compartment.
- 7.1. The coolant hose must engage with an audible click -2- . Check that the coolant hose is seated securely.
