Removing Coolant Pump
WARNING:
Caustic fluids
- Danger of chemical burns
→ Avoid contact with caustic fluid.
→ Wear personal protective gear.
→ Ensure that there is good ventilation.
→ If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.
Component overview:
- Coolant pump to bracket
- External Torx screw, M6 x 25
- External Torx screw, M8 x 25
- Unscrew two M6 screws -1- from above.
- Remove lower coolant pipe -1-
. Collect emerging coolant in a clean container.
Not for GT3 vehicles!
- 2.1. Unscrew M6 screw -2- .
- 2.2. Open the spring band clamp -3- and pull off coolant hose -4- .
- 2.3. Pull coolant pipe off the coolant regulator housing.
- 2.4. Replace O-rings.
- Unscrew M6 screw -2- on the coolant pump holder -1- .
- Unscrew screws on the bottom of the coolant pump.
- 4.1. Remove coolant pump holder.

- External Torx screw, M6 x 25
- Coolant pump holder
- 4.1. Remove coolant pump holder.
- Remove coolant pump. Collect emerging coolant in a clean container.
- 5.1. The pump seal can be re-used if there are no visible signs of damage.
- Check coolant pump pulley for damage and replace the coolant pump if necessary.
- Carefully clean the sealing faces.
