Draining Coolant - Engine
WARNING:
Hot fluid
- Danger of scalding
→ Let the fluid cool down.
→ Wear personal protective gear.
- Open cap -1- on the reservoir and remove it.
- Remove engine guard.
- Remove engine guard holder at the right.
For easier access to the drain plug -3- on the coolant pipe, remove the engine guard holder -1- at the right.
- 3.1. Unscrew M8 fastening screws -2-

WARNING: Caustic fluids
- Danger of chemical burns
→ Avoid contact with caustic fluid.
→ Wear personal protective gear.
→ Ensure that there is good ventilation.
→ If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.
- 3.1. Unscrew M8 fastening screws -2-

- To collect the coolant, secure a pan on a transmission jack and place it under the drain positions.
- Unscrew coolant drain plugs.
- 5.1. Unscrew drain plug -1- on the coolant regulator housing.
- 5.2. Unscrew (plastic) drain plug -1- on the coolant guide tube.
- After draining the coolant, screw in and tighten drain plugs with new sealing rings.
- 6.1. Drain plug on coolant regulator housing: Tightening torque 25 Nm (19 ftlb.)
- 6.2. (Plastic) drain plug on coolant guide: Tightening torque 3 Nm (2 ftlb.)
