Cleaning Cooling Air Intakes

  1. Check the cooling air ducts and radiator for foreign bodies, e.g. leaves.
    1. 1.1. If necessary, clean the cooling air ducts and radiator surfaces through the openings in the front apron using a vacuum cleaner and nozzle.

Vacuum cleaner nozzle Nr.160 should be used.

      NOTE: Radiator surface (vanes) dirty/soiled
      • Engine overheating due to lack of cooling performance
      • Risk of damage to radiator surface

      → Clean radiator surface regularly.

→ Do not use a high-pressure steam cleaner.

  2. Never use a high-pressure steam cleaner.
    1. 2.1. High-pressure steam cleaners can cause additional particles of dirt to attach to the radiator surfaces and the engine can overheat due to reduced cooling performance.
