Removing Charge-Air Cooler

Information 

The procedure for removing and installing is described for one side as an example. The procedure for the other side is practically identical.

1. Disconnect pressure hose and pressure pipe on charge-air cooler.
   1. 1.1. Loosen quick connector -arrow-  on the pressure pipe at the top -1-  and pull off pressure pipe.
   2. 1.2. Loosen quick connector -arrow-  on the pressure hose at the bottom -2-  and pull off pressure hose.

2. Disconnect turbocharger intake pipe from the air cleaner intake pipe.
   1. 2.1. Loosen screw-type clamp -arrow-  and pull off intake pipe -1-  .

3. Loosen heat shield -1-  on the charge-air cooler.
   1. 3.1. Unscrew screw -2-  and nuts -3-  .

4. Remove charge-air cooler with bracket.
   1. 4.1. Unscrew nuts -1-  in the wheel housing.
   2. 4.2. Unscrew screws -2-  on the longitudinal member.
   3. 4.3. Unscrew nuts -3-  on the rear end.
   4. 4.4. Remove charge-air cooler by pulling it forward at the bottom.
