Removing Turbocharger
CAUTION:
Hot components
- Risk of burns
→ Let hot components cool down.
→ Wear personal protective gear.

Hot fluid
- Danger of scalding
→ Let the fluid cool down.
→ Wear personal protective gear.
NOTE:
Mixing fluids
- Risk of damage to components
→ Close off all openings immediately after exposing them (with adhesive tape, suitable stoppers).

- Close off open connections and lines using suitable stoppers or caps.
Information
The procedure for removing and installing is described for one side as an example. The procedure for the other side is practically identical.
- Loosen exhaust temperature sensor.
- 1.1. Unscrew union nut -1- and pull out exhaust temperature sensor -2- .
- Loosen cover on electronic adjuster -1-

- 2.1. Unscrew screws -2- .
- 2.2. Disconnect electric connector for electronic adjuster -3- .
- Disconnect vacuum line at the intake pipe.
- Disconnect oil lines at the oil tank.
- 4.1. Unscrew screw -1- and pull out oil return line -2- . Collect emerging oil in a container.
- 4.2. Unscrew screw -3- and pull off vent line on oil tank -4- . Collect emerging oil in a container.
- 4.3. Replace O-rings -arrows- on the oil lines.
- 4.4. Close off all openings with suitable stoppers.
- Disconnect coolant lines -1-
on the turbocharger.
- 5.1. Unscrew screws -2- .
- 5.2. Pull out coolant lines and collect emerging coolant in a container.
- 5.3. Replace O-rings -arrows- on the coolant lines -1- .
- 5.4. Close off all openings with suitable stoppers.
- Disconnect turbocharger -1-
at the exhaust manifold -2-

- 6.1. Unscrew nuts -arrows- .
- Disconnect turbocharger -1-
at the top holder -2-
.
- 7.1. Unscrew nut -3- and remove screw -4- .
- Disconnect oil feed line for turbocharger -1-
.
- 8.1. Unscrew screw -2- .
- 8.2. Pull turbocharger -3- up out of the studs -4- in direction of arrow and remove it from the exhaust manifold -5- .
- 8.3. Move turbocharger -3- outwards and down and pull out oil feed line -1- .
- 8.4. Replace O-rings on the oil line.
- Replace seal between the turbocharger and exhaust manifold.
