  1. Remove luggage compartment lamp. → 964019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LAMP
  2. Fold carpet lining in luggage compartment at the left aside.
  3. If you are replacing the control unit for all-wheel drive (PTM), the values and coding must be read out using PIWIS Tester II 9818  before removing the faulty control unit for all-wheel drive (PTM). → WM 399555 REPLACING CONTROL UNIT FOR ALL-WHEEL DRIVE (PTM)
