Removing Front Final Drive
- Disconnect cable plug on the final drive.
- 1.1. Release and pull off temperature sensor cable plug -1-.
- 1.2. Pull off plug connection -2-on the transmission -arrow-and open it.
Information
- Protect the drive shafts from mechanical damage.
- Loosen drive shafts at the transmission side and screw off nuts on the final drive support.
- 2.1 Unscrew screws on the drive shafts -1 -and counter at the relevant front wheel.
- 2.2. Unscrew M10 fastening nuts -2- on the support and counter at the hexagon of the threaded bolt -3-.
WARNING: Danger of objects or loads falling down- Risk of squashing or crushing
- Secure components to prevent them from falling down.
- Place transmission jack under the final drive and secure with a retaining strap.
- Loosen holder -1-
for final drive.
Do not loosen screw on the transmission mount!
- 4.1. Unscrew screws -2 -on holder for final drive.
- Unscrew studs -1- on the front-axle carrier.
- Remove the final drive.
- 6.1 Carefully lower and remove the final drive. Be careful with the coolant pipes.
