Installing Sealing Ring

Information 

• Two different sealing rings (swirl direction) are installed on the halfshaft flanges on the new front-axle final drive. 
• The left sealing ring has a white marking, while the right sealing ring is completely black. 
• Use the pressure piece T40152 as an assembly tool. 

Fitting new pressure piece T40152 -1- with sealing ring -2-:

1. Fit sealing ring -2-  on the halfshaft flange using pressure piece T40152 -1-  .

   Use the correct sealing ring on the left and right side!

2. Tap sealing ring in as far as it will go using the pressure piece and a plastic hammer.
   1. 2.1. Remove the tool following installation and tap the sealing ring in again after approx. 3 minutes.
