Removing Housing Neck

Information 

• Slowly pull the long halfshaft flange straight out. 
• The circlip can fall into the transmission if the correct procedure is not followed. 

1. Remove long halfshaft flange.

   → 391555 REPLACING DOUBLE SEALING RING .

   1. 1.1. Before pulling out the halfshaft flange, slide the protective sleeve, two-part 9357  over the splines to prevent damage to the sealing rings.

2. Pull off sealing ring -1-  on the halfshaft flange using slide hammer kit Nr.168 -2-  .

3. Remove housing neck -1-  .
   1. 3.1. Unscrew and remove aluminum screws and dispose of them.
   2. 3.2. Remove housing neck.
   3. 3.3. Replace seal and screws.
