Preliminary Work

→ Do not place any solid objects under the raised vehicle.

→ Ensure that the lifting platform is prevented from lowering.

→ Remove solid objects before lowering the vehicle.

→ Raise the vehicle only at the jacking points provided.

→ The outer jacking points should be used primarily.

1. Jack the vehicle at the prescribed jacking points.

   → 4X00IN LIFTING THE VEHICLE .

2. Loosen rear left and right wheel bolts (do not remove).

   Use special tool socket-wrench insert P300  .

3. Remove cover for rear underbody.

   → 519419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COVER FOR REAR UNDERBODY .

4. Loosen left and right drive shafts on transmission side.

   → 422119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING REAR DRIVE SHAFT .

5. Remove rear wheels.

   → 440519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING WHEEL .

6. Remove rear-axle cross member.

   → 420619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING REAR-AXLE CROSS MEMBER .

7. Place oil collection pan under the transmission.
8. Drain transmission oil.

   → 340155 CHANGING TRANSMISSION OIL .

9. Lower the engine.

   → 100109 LOWERING THE ENGINE .
