Installing Left Sealing Ring For Halfshaft Flange

Information 

• Check that the sealing ring is seated correctly on the tool. 
• The sealing ring is fitted dry. Do not touch the sealing lip! 

1. Fit a new seal -1-  on the housing neck -2-  .

2. Place sealing ring on pressure piece 9738  .
3. Press in sealing ring -1-  using pressure piece -2-  so that it is fitted securely in the housing neck -3-  .
   1. 3.1. Hold the tool at the end position for one minute and press again carefully if necessary.

      Information 

      • Replace circlips on the halfshaft flanges. 
      • Carefully slide in the long halfshaft flange, keeping it straight at all times. 
4. Fit new circlip -2-  on the halfshaft flange -1-  .
   1. 4.1. Two-piece protective sleeve 9357 -3-  must be pushed over the circlip on the left halfshaft flange.

5. Slide housing neck -1-  onto the halfshaft flange -2-  .
