Installing Sealing Ring For Right Halfshaft Flange

Information 

• Check that the sealing ring is seated correctly on the tool. 
• The sealing ring is fitted dry. Do not touch the sealing lip! 

1. Place sealing ring on pressure piece 9790  .
2. Tap sealing ring into the transmission using pressure piece -1-  .
   1. 2.1. Hold the tool at the stop for one minute and tap it again carefully if necessary.

3. Replace circlip -3-  on the halfshaft flange -1-  .
   1. 3.1. Clamp the halfshaft flange in a vice using a screw -2-  .
   2. 3.2. Press out the old circlip using the new circlip.

4. Install halfshaft flange -1-  .
   1. 4.1. Check halfshaft flange for burrs and sharp edges on the transmission end of the shaft and de-burr if necessary -arrow-  .
   2. 4.2. Fit halfshaft flange on the transmission and tap it in using a rubber hammer.
