Installing Rear-Axle Cross Member
Information
- Use an auxiliary tool (stud or old fastening screw with the screw head cut off) to install the rear-axle cross member on the body. This is required so that the fastening screws are not screwed in crooked, thereby causing irreparable damage to the aluminum thread (in the body).
- Get a second mechanic to help you to re-install the rear-axle cross member.
- The fastening screws on the rear-axle cross member must be replaced.
- Observe specified tightening torques.
