Removing Microswitches On Convertible-Top Compartment Lid Cylinders

Information 

• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. 
• Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. 

1. Disconnect wire harness.

   1. 1.1. Cut tie-wrap -1-  .
   2. 1.2. Release plug connection -A-  and disconnect it -B-  .

      Information 

      • During assembly work, get another person to hold the lid open. 
2. Loosen safety clips on the hydraulic cylinder -2-  using a suitable tool -arrow-  .

3. Remove hydraulic cylinder -2-  and place it in the vehicle.
4. Release retaining clips -1-  on the microswitches and pull them off -A-  .

5. Remove microswitch from hydraulic cylinder -2-  .
