Installing Motor For Rear Side Section Flaps

Information 

Before installing the flap motor, the rear side section flaps must be fully retracted (lower end position) to ensure synchronous operation.

  1. Push the rear side section flaps -1-  down by hand -A-  and put in the "Convertible top closed" end position.

  2. Install the flap motor.
    1. 2.1. Place flap motor -3-  on the guide pin.
    2. 2.2. Turn flap motor -3-  slightly until the pinion engages.
    3. 2.3. Tighten fastening screws -2-  . Tightening torque 5 Nm (3.5 ftlb.)

  3. Insert the electrical plug connection -1-  in the flap motor -3-  until it clicks audibly into place.
  4. Push casing for rear side section flaps -1-  down carefully and tighten using fastening screw -2-  . Tightening torque 2.5 Nm (2 ftlb.)

  5. Fasten the convertible top compartment trim -2-  to the locking lug -3-  .

  6. Install the right cover -1-  .
