Removing Seal For Convertible-Top Tip

Information 

• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. 
• Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well.

1. Switch on ignition.
2. Open convertible top as far as required until the seal can be reached.
3. Switch off ignition.
4. Write numbers on contact ribs -1, 2, 3, 4-  using a water-resistant marker. The contact ribs must be fitted at the same position again during installation.

5. Pull the seal -1-  sideways out of the guide.

6. Loosen fastening screws -3-  .

7. Remove retaining strip -2-  and seal -1-  .

   Remove contact ribs.

8. Remove rubber stop -4-  .

9. Guide retaining strip out of the seal.
