Installing Seal For Convertible-Top Tip

Information 

Check that all fixing clips are positioned fully and correctly.

Check that the fixing clips are not bent or broken.

Replace damaged or missing clips with new ones.

Installation is performed in reverse order. Pay particular attention to the following: 

1. The contact ribs are not all the same shape and must therefore be re-fitted at the positions marked before removal.
2. When replacing the contact ribs, the position can be assigned based on the part numbers.

   Contact rib position	Part number
   Outer right contact rib -1-	P991403732
   Inner right contact rib -2-	P991403730
   Inner left contact rib -3-	P991403729
   Outer left contact rib -4-	P991403731

3. Tighten fastening screws -1-9-  to the specified tightening torque in the sequence shown. → Tightening torque: 9.7 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)+/- 1 Nm (+/-0.5 ftlb.)
