Installing Cover For Front Backrest

Check fastening clamps and fixing clips -1- and replace them if necessary.

Pull on cover for backrest -1- and align with contour of padding.

Press plastic strip -2- on cover for backrest -1- into the fixing clips -3- .

Press connection for backrest cover -1- at the rear into the cushion carrier -2- (-arrows- ) and tap gently into place (plastic hammer).

Press connection of backrest cover -1- into the side airbag frame -2- with a plastic wedge -3- .

Engage connection at control button for backrest adjustment -arrows- .

Install side airbag. → INSTALLING FRONT SIDE AIRBAG .
Engage cover piping -1- right and left into backrest frame -2- .

Slide cover for backrest -1- onto the cushion carrier -2- at the bottom left and right, starting at the middle and moving to the relevant side -arrows- .

Position clothes hook -1- over of the cut-out and press down firmly until it engages securely.

Check fastening clamps -1- on the outside of the backrest shell and replace them if necessary.

Check fastening clamps -1- close to the belt guide and replace them if necessary.

Only when replacing the cover.
Position cover -3- on the front of the padding -1- .

Align Velcro strip -2- on the cover with the Velcro fastener on the padding -1- and secure it -arrow- .
Position cover -1- and padding -2- on the backrest shell -3- and straighten it -arrows- .

Press joint on cover -1- into the backrest shell -2- near the top of the headrest -arrows- .

Align cover -1- with the side bolsters.

Information

Make sure the Velcro fasteners join cleanly.
Press on Velcro fasteners -2- and -3- (-arrows- ).
Press joint on cover -1- into the backrest shell -2- at the sides using a plastic wedge and secure by tapping gently (with a plastic hammer).

Remove adhesive tape -2- from the backrest shell -1- .
