Removing Rear Spoiler

Information 

• The number of fastening screws, fixing clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment. 
• The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant. 
• Some steps must be carried out automatically. 
• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle  .

1. Open rear lid and guide out rear cover.
2. Press in cover -1-  at the left and right side -arrow-  and push it downwards.

3. Unscrew and remove fastening screws -1-  at the left and right.

4. Press upper part of rear spoiler forward and remove it from the bracket.
5. Remove engine-compartment blower. → 198119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ENGINE-COMPARTMENT BLOWER
6. Unscrew and remove fastening screw -1-  on lower part of spoiler, push it forward and disengage it from the retaining lugs.

   Lift up lower part of spoiler.

7. Release plug connections and disconnect connectors.
8. Remove lower part of spoiler by pulling it up.
9. Remove tail lights. → 943119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING TAIL LIGHT
10. Unscrew and remove fastening screw on mounting bracket for rear spoiler at the side -1-  and along the rear apron -2-  .

11. Swivel out mounting bracket in an upward direction.
12. Remove mounting bracket for rear spoiler.
