Removing Rear Apron

Information 

• The number of fastening screws, fixing clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment. 
• The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant. 
• Some steps must be carried out automatically. 
• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. 

Information 

Two people are needed to remove and install the rear apron!

1. Unscrew and remove fastening screws at the top -1-  and sides -2-  and -3-  .

2. Unscrew fastening screws -1-  at the inner side and bottom of the rear apron -2-  .

3. Check sheetmetal shims and replace them if necessary.
4. Pull rear apron -1-  carefully back to the rear -arrow-  until the plug connection can be reached.

5. Disconnect plug connection -1-  at the left. Assembly Tool T10118

6. Remove rear apron.
7. Place rear apron in Storage System VAS 6760 WE 1473  .
