Adjusting Rear Lid: Overview

1. Move the rear lid -2-  at the hinges to adjust the contours with respect to the side panel and rear spoiler. → WM 5X00IN GAP DIMENSIONS

2. Tighten fastening screws Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ft. lbs.)  .
3. Turn adjusting screw -1-  on the hinge to adjust the height of the rear lid.

   Information 

   • The side adjusting elements on the rear lid must be adjusted so that there is a slight preload when the rear lid is closed completely. 
   • The preload must be the same on the left and right. 
4. Screw out adjusting element until there is contact with the cross member/side panel (it should be possible to slide a slip of paper easily into the gap).
5. Screw out adjusting elements by max. half a turn Adjustment Value 2 mm  and check gap dimensions of rear lid. → WM 5X00IN GAP DIMENSIONS

The setting can be changed by screwing in the adjusting elements.
