Removing Outer Side Member (Section)

Information 

Mark cut in accordance with the new part. Make sure to leave an overlap of approx. 3 cm with respect to the body.

1. Determine cut.

   Information 

   Only make cuts in the top plate. Make sure not to damage the plate underneath when doing this.

2. Cut through outer side member. Special electric cutter - Fine WE 1137 Pneumatic body saw PS 1 WE 1138 
   1. 2.1. Cut through outer side member at the marked connection point -A-  using the oscillating body saw.
   2. 2.2. Cut through outer side member at the marked connection point -B-  using the oscillating body saw.
3. Mill off spotwelds.
   1. 3.1. Mill off spotwelds in the area using a spotweld cutter. Spotweld drill bit Nr.129 Pneumatic spotweld remover, Vario Drill WS 90 WE 1139

4. Heat up bonding areas. Hot-air blower, Leister-Electron/V.A.G. 1416 WE 1119
