Remove the remaining part of the separator.
Fit outer side member to the body
1. 4.1. To complete the fit, install the doors and wings at the front and set the gap dimensions between the door and the front wing according to the respective adjustment values. → WM 5X00IN GAP DIMENSIONS (EXCEPT CARRERA "EDITION", CARRERA CABRIOLET "EDITION", CARRERA 4 "EDITION", TARGA 4, TARGA 4S, TARGA 4 GTS, CARRERA 4 CABRIOLET "EDITION") .
2. 4.2. Fix side member to the body.

Cut through outer side member

5.1. Make cuts -A- and -B- through the side member and body in the overlap areas.

Remove side member.
Prepare connection areas for welding.
Prepare the side member in the marked areas for bonding. → WM 5X00IN WORKING WITH BODY STRUCTURAL ADHESIVE .
