Removing B-Pillar Reinforcement

A window will be cut into the outer B-pillar/roof pillar in the upper B-pillar area.
Information

Only make cuts in the top plate. Make sure not to damage the plate underneath when doing this.

Mark and make cuts. → Distance: 40 mm → Distance: 30 mm

Information

Drill out the connection point on one side only. Do not damage the plate underneath.

2.1. Drill out spotwelds using spotweld drill .

Heat the marked bonding areas.

Remove roof pillar section.
Information

Drill out the connection point on one side only. Do not damage the plate underneath.
Drill out spotwelds using spotweld drill .

Heat the marked bonding areas.

6.1. Remove channel reinforcement.

Remove inner side section.

Information

Drill out the connection point on one side only. Do not damage the plate underneath.

7.1. Drill out spotwelds using spotweld drill .
7.2. Drill out spotwelds in area -A- using spotweld drill .

7.3. Grind down welded seams in area -B- .
