Installing B-Pillar Reinforcement

1. 1.1. Secure B-pillar reinforcement and support to the inner side section -arrows-  .

   Information 

   Make sure that the fixing device for the body parts cannot become loose during removal. Check that it fits perfectly.

2. 1.2. Remove B-pillar reinforcement and support again.

Information 

• Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive. 
• The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed. 
• Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tools necessary for later repair work are available. 

Working with body structural adhesive → WM 5X00IN WORKING WITH BODY STRUCTURAL ADHESIVE (EXCEPT CARRERA "EDITION", CARRERA CABRIOLET "EDITION", CARRERA 4 "EDITION", CARRERA 4 CABRIOLET "EDITION") .

1. 4.1. Resistance spot-weld the B-pillar reinforcement.
2. 4.2. Rivet in area -A-  . → BLIND RIVET 999.190.227.01
3. 4.3. MAG-weld area -arrows-  .

1. 5.1. Apply a full weld to the area -arrows-  using inert gas.
