Removing Rear Cross Member

Roughly cut out rear cross member -arrows- .

Information

Drill out the connection point on one side only. Do not damage the plate underneath.

1.1. Drill through spotwelds using a spotweld drill .
Information

Drill out spotwelds A through two plate thicknesses.

1.2. Drill through spotwelds in area -A- using a spotweld drill .

Heat the bonding surfaces.

2.1. Remove remaining pieces of upper part of rear cross member -1- .

3.1. Remove welded seams -A; B- .
