Removing Upper Front Roof Frame

Information 

Drill out spotwelds A  through two plate thicknesses.

1. Drill through spotwelds in area -A-  using a spotweld drill  .

   Information 

   Drill out the connection point on one side only. Do not damage the plate underneath.

   Information 

   • Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. 
   • Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well. 
   1. 1.1. Drill out spotwelds in area -B;C-  using a spotweld drill  .

2. Heat bonding surfaces on top and bottom half of the roof frame.
   1. 2.1. Remove roof frame completely.
