Removing Control Unit For Rear-End Electronics (Except Cabriolet)

Information 

Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!

• Assembly work may only be carried out if the mechanic is wearing the working clothes and shoes approved by Porsche. 
• The new part must only be removed from the ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging just before installation and at the position at which the part is to be installed. 
• Never touch the electric pins and plug contacts. 

1. Move front seat completely forward and upwards to the limit stop -arrow-  .

2. Fold the carpet up -arrow-  .

3. Remove control unit -2-  from the foam holder -1-  and twist -arrow-  until the plug connections are accessible.

   Information 

   The number of plug connections can vary, depending on equipment.

4. Release electric plug connection -1-  by pressing -2-  the locking mechanism -arrows a-  and sliding the clip down -arrows B-  and pull off the connector -arrow C-  .

5. Release electric plug connections -3 & 4-  on both sides -arrows a-  and pull it off -arrows B-  .
