Loosening Main Wire Harness In Luggage Compartment At The Left

Information 

Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!

• Assembly work may only be carried out if the mechanic is wearing the working clothes and shoes approved by Porsche. 
• The new part must only be removed from the ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging just before installation and at the position at which the part is to be installed. 
• Never touch the electric pins and plug contacts. 

Main wire harness in luggage compartment at the outer left:

1. Connector for outside temperature sensor
2. Connector for right horn
3. Connector for control unit for garage door opener
4. Connector for servo motor for emergency release
5. Connector for microswitch for front lid release
6. Connector for servo motor for front lid release
7. Connector for left horn

1. Release and pull off electric plug connection for outside temperature sensor -1-  . → 916819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE SENSOR
2. Release and pull off electric plug connection for right horn -2-  . → 905019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING HORN
3. Release and pull off electric plug connection for control unit for garage door opener -3-  . → 967919 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CONTROL UNIT FOR GARAGE DOOR OPENER
4. Release and pull off electric plug connection for servo motor for emergency release -4-  . → 556119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING SERVO MOTOR FOR EMERGENCY RELEASE
5. Release and pull off electric plug connection for microswitch for front lid release -5-  . → 551719 REMOVING AND INSTALLING LOWER PART OF FRONT LID LOCK
6. Release and pull off electric plug connection for servo motor for front lid release -6-  . → 551319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING SERVO MOTOR FOR FRONT LID RELEASE
7. Release and pull off electric plug connection for left horn -7-  . → 905019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING HORN
8. Loosen fastening points for main wire harness in luggage compartment at the outer left.

   1. 8.1. Loosen fixing clip -1-  on the air-conditioning line at the right.
   2. 8.2. Loosen fixing clips -2-  on the front retaining strip.
   3. 8.3. Pull rubber sleeve -3-  for line for the luggage compartment inwards.

      1. Connector for KESSY/PAS antenna
      2. Connector for PDCC control unit
      3. Connector for luggage compartment light
      4. Ground points on floor front section
9. Release and pull off electric plug connection for antenna for KESSY/PAS -1-  . → 966719 REMOVING AND INSTALLING ANTENNA FOR KESSY/PAS
10. Release and pull off electric plug connection for PDCC control unit -2-  . → 430819 REMOVING AND INSTALLING PDCC CONTROL UNIT
11. Screw off fastening nuts at the ground points -4-  on the floor front section.
12. Loosen fastening points in the passenger compartment at the left.

    1. 12.1. Detach cable holder -1-  from the bolt on the body.
    2. 12.2. Loosen fixing clips -2-  on the longitudinal member.
    3. 12.3. Pull relay out of the bracket - 3-  .
    4. 12.4. Pull rubber sleeve -4-  for line to the plenum panel inwards.
