Installing Power-Window Control Unit

Information 

Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!

• Assembly work may only be carried out if the mechanic is wearing the working clothes and shoes approved by Porsche. 
• The new part must only be removed from the ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging just before installation and at the position at which the part is to be installed. 
• Never touch the electric pins and plug contacts. 

Information 

• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle. 
• Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well.

The end positions of the power windows are deleted from the control unit when the electric plug connections are disconnected and connected.

1. Plug in electric plug connection -2-  on the control unit -1-  .
   1. 1.1. Connect electric plug connection -2-  by pressing it on until it engages securely.
   2. 1.2. Press securing clip down -a-  .
2. Connect electric plug connection -3-  on the control unit -1-  until the connector engages securely.

3. Install power-window control unit -1-  .
   1. 3.1. Engage control unit -1-  at the front and press it forward -B-  .
   2. 3.2. Press on control unit -1-  at the rear until the locking hook engages securely -A-  .

4. Connect water drain hose -2-  to the water drip pan -1-  . Check that it is seated correctly.
